Making Sense of Citizenship-A CPD Handbook

by misan last modified 2006-06-14 11:57

Education for citizenship aims to provide young people with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and values that will help them to play an effective and active role in society in relation to their local, national and international communities, become informed citizens aware of their rights, responsibilities and duties and also to realise that they can have influence and make a difference in their communities. It involves young people in active and participative learning in a range of settings, including in classrooms, in the life of the school and the college and in the wider community.
